Step Up Now and Become a Financial Literacy Mentor Change a Life. Close the Gap. Build a Legacy
Our kids are in crisis—and they need YOU!
The pandemic didn’t just disrupt learning—it widened the cracks in a broken system. Today, thousands of students across Oakland and San Francisco are falling behind in reading, math, and one of life’s most essential skills: money management.
At Financial Literacy For Kid$, we’re not waiting for change. We’re creating it. And we need passionate, committed mentors like you to help lead the way.
What You Bring as a Mentor:
You’re not just teaching budgeting or saving—you’re rewriting the narrative. You’re showing students how to break cycles, dream bigger, and take control of their futures. Your real-world insight, your encouragement, your belief in them—that’s the spark that no app, curriculum, or textbook can replace.
A Few Hours. A Lifetime of Impact
Your time, just a couple of hours a week, can:
- Accelerate a student’s recovery in math and reading
- Instill confidence and financial independence
- Open doors to college, careers, and generational wealth
It’s how we fight the academic gap, the wealth gap—and the belief gap.
Why It Matters Now:
These aren’t just numbers. They’re young lives navigating real barriers—poverty, underfunded schools, and systemic inequality. If we don’t act now, we risk losing more futures to circumstances they didn’t create. But with mentors like you, we can flip the script.
Ready to Make a Real Difference?
“Poverty is not an accident. Like slavery and apartheid, it is man-made and can be removed by the actions of human beings.”
— Nelson Mandela
