About us
Financial Literacy For Kid$, is an organization dedicated to teaching 4th and 5th-grade students about saving and investing. We target under-resourced students from communities of color with a long history of discrimination and subsequently less wealth and financial skills.
Our goal is to empower these students to take control of their finances and develop into financially responsible teens, and adults. We are intentional about addressing this lack of financial knowledge and wealth disparity by providing resources to help students of color learn new skills coupled with financial knowledge.
Most adults, in retrospect, seriously wish they had learned about money and creating wealth as a kid or young adult. We believe that sound financial decisions are a result of early education.
Regardless of a student’s background or family income level, financially informed students are better able to take control of their circumstances, improve their quality of life, and ensure a more stable future for themselves.
